Personal Care Aide Responsibilities:
As a Personal Care Aide, the primary responsibility is to provide essential assistance with daily living activities and personal care services as outlined in the patient’s established care plan. These tasks may include:
1. Companionship: Offering emotional support and engaging patients in conversation to combat loneliness and isolation
2. Daily Living Activities/Household Support
3. Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare & provide nutritious meals following dietary restrictions outlined in the care plan
4. Personal Care
5. Mobility Support: Assisting with ambulation and ensuring safety
6. Patient Safety Monitoring
6. Patient Safety Monitoring
7. Medication Reminders
Qualifications and Skills:
Personal Care Aide Certification
Reliable/Dependable
Previous experience in Home Care or caregiving can be beneficial
Strong Communication Skills, compassionate, and patient
Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions
A commitment to preserving patient confidentiality & adhering to ethical standards
Flexibility: Must be adaptable to meet the changing needs of patients effectively
Create a safe environment for clients
PCA Requirements for Hiring:
Personal Care Aide Certification
2 Forms of ID, Government ID, Work Authorization, etc.
Physical Assessment within the last 12 months to include TB Screening (Quantiferon/PPD Testing
Physical Assessment within the last 12 months to include TB Screening (Quantiferon/PPD Testing
Proof of Immunization of MMR
Flu & COVID vaccines, if received
